The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters values, protects and celebrates its built heritage.
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is home to some of the most stunning heritage buildings in South Australia, and is committed to the protection and enhancement of its built heritage. As part of this commitment, the Council has delivered a five-year Built Heritage Strategy.

The purpose of the Strategy is to set out the Council’s desired outcomes and intended actions for the next five years to ensure the City’s built heritage continues to be valued and protected.
The Strategy also publicly expresses what the Council values and recognises with respect to built heritage and provide information to the community regarding heritage and historic area protection in the context of the State’s planning framework.
