The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters hosts citizenship ceremonies throughout the year to welcome new citizens into the community.
Australian Citizenship applications
All applications for Australian citizenship are processed by the Department of Home Affairs.

Australian Citizenship Ceremonies
The Department of Home Affairs manages the Citizenship program, including the policy on citizenship ceremonies and the list of conferees who have been approved for citizenship and are ready to attend a ceremony.
Once your Australian citizenship application has been approved, the Department will invite you to attend your ceremony.
While the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters hosts citizenship ceremonies, the Council is unable to provide information regarding the timing of your ceremony.
If you have not received an invitation to attend a citizenship ceremony, please call the Citizenship Information Line at 131 880.
What to do if you cannot attend your citizenship ceremony If you cannot attend your citizenship ceremony, contact the Department of Home Affairs to reschedule. The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters holds citizenship ceremonies four to five times a year.
