We encourage and support local individuals and groups to hold events which engage and benefit our diverse community.
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters encourages the community to host events in our beautiful parks, reserves and venues.
The following information is provided to assist you in planning a community event in our City.
Where can I hold my event?
The Council owns and operates a range of indoor and outdoor spaces that are available for hire. You can also apply to hold your event on a public or arterial road.
Hire a community venue
We offer a number of venues for hire, ideal for a range of events, including yoga classes, seminars and conferences.

- Payneham Library & Community Facilities

Our parks and reserves provide the ideal setting for community and corporate events.

Apply to use a local road
A community event on a public road is a joint effort and relies on the involvement of the Council and local residents.
We encourage you to contact the Council to seek guidance on this process.

Before you plan for your major event, download and read the External Events Guidelines.
The Guidelines provide information on planning and managing major community events, including:
- initial planning
