Norwood Concert Hall Coordinator

• Play a critical role in supporting the business objectives of the iconic Norwood Concert Hall.

Annual salary of $97,453.85 - $101,761.94 + Statutory Superannuation.
12 month fixed contract with opportunity to extend.

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council, nestled on the outskirts of the CBD. The area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most desirable places to live, work, study and visit.

The Norwood Concert Hall is an important community asset that stimulates community pride and economic activity through a range of events, including international acts, concerts, product launches, school performances, cabaret acts etc.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced venue manager to join our Community Development Department to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Norwood Concert Hall and leverage the facility as a premier venue.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Arts, Culture and Community Connections, the Norwood Concert Hall Coordinator is responsible for the operations of the Norwood Concert Hall including customer/stakeholder management, facilitation of venue hire and management of facility operations.

About You
To be successful in this position you will be an enthusiastic team leader, and possess the following skills and experience:

• Extensive customer and stakeholder management, preferably in a performing arts/concert venue hire context.
• Operational management experience including event booking lifecycle, budget, bar operations etc.
• People leadership/management.
• Understanding of production needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certificate-level qualifications in venue management or over five (5) years’ experience in a related field (desirable).
• Established arts and entertainment sector networks (desirable).
• Willingness for out of hours work to respond to the needs of customers as required.

Job Requirements
• Department of Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Clearance.
• National Criminal Record (Police) clearance with no adverse findings.
• Physical Capacity Assessment & Medical Assessment.
