Annual salary of $70,430.31 – $74,423.61 + Statutory Superannuation

The Role
Working in some of Adelaide’s most popular public open spaces, the Team Member, Parks & Gardens will undertake various activities to ensure the Council’s parks, trees and street trees are maintained for the enjoyment of our community.

Responsibilities will include proactive maintenance works such as mowing, mulching, pruning, planting, weed control and playground inspections, as well as reactive and emergency works such as removal of fallen trees, litter collection, irrigation repairs, removal of branches and tree limbs and collection of illegally- dumped waste.

About You
You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, take pride in your work and be a team player. Certificate level qualifications in horticulture while not essential, will be well regarded.
Other skills and experience:

• Class MR or greater licence
• Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate
• High level of knowledge of horticultural best practice
• General knowledge of the principles of Work Health & Safety
• Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation whilst working under minimal supervision.
• Be reliable, punctual and self-motivated and commitment to provide a high level of customer service.
