The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council adjacent the Adelaide Parklands and the River Torrens / Karrawirra Pari Linear Park. The Council area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most desirable places to live, work and visit.
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced Project Officer to join our Assets & Projects Unit, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the continuous improvement for the development and management of the Council’s Civil Infrastructure Capital Works Program.
The Role
Reporting to the Manager Assets & Projects, the Project Officer is primarily responsible for managing the delivery of the Council’s annual Civil Infrastructure Capital Works Program which involves the renewal of roads, footpaths, kerbs and gutters throughout the city.
• General Officer, Level 4 - Level 5, based upon skills, qualifications and level of experience
• Starting salary of $89,121 - $97,453 plus statutory superannuation
• Permanent, full time position
About You
To be successful in this position you will work proactively and responsibly, promote a culture of continuous improvement, deliver high quality outcomes, provide excellent communication and customer service.
You will have relevant experience in civil engineering, project administration, construction and/or similar work experience in private industry, local government and/or state government. A tertiary qualification in civil engineering, project management, construction management or similar discipline is highly regarded.
