The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council adjacent the Adelaide Parklands and the River Torrens / Karrawirra Pari Linear Park. The Council area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most desirable places to live, work and visit.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Assets & Projects Unit, deliver a diversity of projects, and contribute to continuous improvement in project management knowledge, skills and processes at the Council.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager Assets & Projects, the Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing capital works projects with varying scope, complexity, scale, timeline and budget.

• General Officer, Level 7 - Level 8, based upon skills, qualifications and level of experience
• Starting salary of $116,112 - $127,588 plus statutory superannuation
• Five (5) years fixed-term contract

About You
To be successful in this position you will work proactively and responsibly, promote a culture of continuous improvement, deliver high quality outcomes, provide excellent communication and customer service and possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar discipline;
• A minimum of five (5) years’ civil engineering, project management, construction management;
• Excellent project and contract management skills.
