The catalyst for 'Faces, Figures and Fantasy' evolved from Helga's foray into 'fluid painting'. The merging of colours, creating surprising shapes, patterns and colour combinations is an integral part of most of her paintings and prints.

These abstract works are then interwoven with stylised figurative images which have a strong graphic component. Collage and the colour gold are also often used in Helga’s work.
