And All The While…..

A fun collaborative poem written by Kate and Anne, gave birth to their exhibition - And All The While....

Combining colour and joy with a dash of kitsch and black humour, Kate and Anne explore the fantastical, the folksy, the storytelling, as a way to engage and view the world through a lighter lens.

Anne creates work that has a connection to stories she has heard, or myths or beliefs passed on from mother to daughter - often wise, sometimes funny or sometimes unwittingly harmful. Working across a variety of mediums, Anne often incorporates re-cycled jewellery or objects in her plaster sculptures to represent the passing on of something once treasured.

Traditionally trained in painting Kate has since branched out to include other media including textiles, printmaking and ceramics.

Screen-printing her current passion giving expression to quirky imagery and satisfying her desire to make colourful images with a folk art edge.

Kate embraces and celebrates the philosophy that creating can be fun.

The Exhibition will run from 6th June - 6th July.
Open Wednesday to Saturday 10am - 4pm
