Renewals
Auto-renewal of loans
Loans are automatically extended, up to two times, if there are no holds on the items.
When a loan is automatically renewed, an email is sent to your registered email address to confirm the new due date, and for loans which were unable to be renewed a courtesy reminder notice.
You can also log in to the library catalogue or use the SA Libraries App to check renewal dates and reminder notices.
All renewals are from the due date of the item and the renewal period is the same as the original loan period.
Can I renew items myself?
You won't be able to renew borrowed items yourself earlier than three days prior to the due date.
To renew items yourself up to three days prior to the due date:
- log in to your account in our library catalogue
- use the SA Libraries App
- call us or come in to any One Card library.
A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address to advise of the new due date, and for loans which were unable to be renewed a courtesy reminder notice.
All renewals are from the due date of the item and the renewal period is the same as the original loan period.
Reserves
Library items can be reserved by phone or in person at any Norwood Payneham and St Peters Library site, or by accessing our Library Catalogue.
You are able to reserve 30 items on any library card.
We will notify you via SMS, email (if you have requested either of these options) or by letter when your reservation becomes available.
Inter-library loans
If you require an item that is not available via the one card network, the Library staff are able to access the State Library on your behalf, as well as academic and specialist libraries both here and interstate.
A fee of $11.20 is payable for the provision of this service.
Inter library items are available on a four-week loan basis. Sorry, no renewals.
