Cr Kevin Duke
I have lived in the Council area for over 40 years, and am married with two adult daughters.
I am retired from full time employment and I am a Justice of the Peace. The local and broader community interest me, having served on School Boards and Parents & Friends Associations. Additionally, I have served on management committees of the Mental Health Association, Invicta Sheltered Workshops and the Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of South Australia.
I am tertiary educated with a post graduate degree in Social Administration and I have worked as a high school teacher, and social worker/administrator in mental health and physical rehabilitation with the State Government. I have been an elected member of Council for over 20 years. This role has enabled me to develop a profound appreciation for members of our community in the various clubs and community groups.
I enjoy gardening, home and furniture renovation, music, reading and meeting the members of our community. I have played many sports, with football and tennis being the main focus. I have always been a supporter of the Norwood Football Club and the local SANFL.
Local traffic management and planning have been a focus of my time in Local Government, as they are critical in creating a safe and healthy environment for all residents.
