Stretching almost 47 kilometres from the hills to the coast, the River Torrens Linear Park is a popular spot for walking, running and cycling.
The River Torrens Linear Park is one of Adelaide’s most distinctive recreation spaces. In our City, the River Torrens Linear Park extends from Felixstow Reserve to Hackney.
In 2019, the Council enhanced the 2.59 kilometres stretch of path that extends from Felixstow Reserve to Ninth Avenue and Battams Road, St Peters. The pathway is now more appealing for all visitors to the park.
The path has been aligned around a number of large gum trees, so that they can be preserved and enjoyed by generations to come. The project was funded by the Australian Government as part of the Roads to Recovery Program.
The upgrade was completed in March 2020.
