Close to Home began as a series of 16 small paintings made during Covid restrictions in 2020 for a group exhibition; a documentation of walks around the neighbourhood in a postcard sized format. Mundane scenes of footpaths and houses, fences, eye-views that would otherwise not be remembered. This practice and preoccupation with subject matter close to home continued into 2024 against the background of daily life and now consists of more than sixty paintings.
