I see myself as a visual poet and political commentator, and work mainly in an expressive figurative style. Class, sports, male identity/ masculine culture and urban alienation are the most important themes, which I visited in my paintings.

I am deeply affected by political and social events that are happening in Australia around and the world. I paint in according to what I feel toward these events in our contemporary society.

My paintings have always been about the demonstration of power through human actions. I like to create a tension between people who are empowered and those who are powerless.
