Artist's Statement
I live in Royston Park. I attended printmaking classes at the Ruth Tuck Art School from 1997 to 2015. Then, after a break of several years, I joined Union Street Printmakers in Stepney in 2023.
I like linocut printing because of the simplicity of the technique. I enjoy being part of a community of printmakers where, because of the need to use studio equipment, you make new friends and get inspired and educated by the work they are doing.
Many of my linocuts are in black and white, some are hand coloured. My subject matter is various but I often draw attention to interesting places in my local area. At present I am experimenting with portraits and focusing on landmark buildings around Adelaide.
